Former President Donald Trump once again utilized the traditional celebration of Mother’s Day to criticize his political opponents. On his Truth Social platform, he sent Mother’s Day greetings to “ALL,” including the “Mothers, Wives and Lovers” of leftists who he accused of attempting to destroy the country. Trump went on to implore these mothers and lovers to make the “Lunatics and Maniacs” on the left kinder, gentler, smarter, and ultimately, assist in making America great again. Trump has a history of using holidays such as Easter, Christmas, and Father’s Day, as well as last year’s Mother’s Day, to disparage his political rivals.
Shortly after being arrested on April 4, he shared a similar Easter message on Truth Social, directing it towards “MARXISTS, & COMMUNISTS WHO ARE KILLING OUR NATION.” Last year, he used the occasion of Christmas to send good wishes to “Radical Left Marxists,” and he also took the opportunity to wish the “Radical Left, RINOs, and other Losers of the world” a Happy Father’s Day. In contrast, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is believed to be Trump’s main rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, posted a very different Mother’s Day message on Twitter. On Sunday, he shared a photo of his family, including his wife, and expressed his gratitude for all that his wife does for their family and how much they love her.
Madison, Mason and Mamie are lucky to have the best mother in the world – @CaseyDeSantis.
Thank you for all that you do for our family, we love you very much! pic.twitter.com/qjFFczXXPr

Former US President Donald Trump did not publicly express Mother’s Day greetings to his wife Melania Trump on Truth Social. The couple has a son named Barron who is 17 years old. Recently, Trump lost a defamation case against E. Jean Carroll, a writer who accused him of sexually abusing her in the 1990s. Trump denied knowing Carroll and called the verdict a “disgrace” in a post on Truth Social. A spokesperson for Trump did not respond to a request for comment outside of regular business hours.
